Zavi Restaurant

First Impressions

For us the occasion was a celebratory dinner with friends… but this restaurant is perfect for pretty much any occasion. A family affair, a date, a link up with friends or even a solo meal, Zavi has you covered.  Located on Sidcup Road dual carriage way, you may not even  consider it as a dining option but let us tell you something, you’re missing out! Delicious Turkish food, relaxed atmosphere, on point customer service and generally all round great vibes!

Venue, Atmosphere & Service

As soon as you enter Zavi you are welcomed by the sweet sounds of  90s R’n’b and greeted by a friendly host. The decor is elegant, the lighting perfect for the time of day and there are different areas of seating to choose from.

The customer service was 10/10, the service remained high from the very moment that we were welcomed at the door, to when we finished. The Zavi staff were very attentive, there to answer questions, made us feel welcome and kept the free bread and dip flowing! They even walked us to the door when we were leaving.

Parking

There is parking right outside the venue which has some restrictions so make sure you read the signs before leaving your car. Alternatively if you take the inconspicuous left next to the restaurant there is small car park at the back. We warn you on a busy day this may get packed quickly so it might be worth checking the quieter residential roads and walking to the venue.

Our Thoughts

First of all, the free bread and dip was delicious! Warm and perfect to munch on while you’re waiting for your starters or main. It’s so easy to fill yourself up on the yummy bread so our advice is to pace yourself.

Starters

We all agreed that the the Crispy Battered King Prawns  was a winner, however, that doesn’t take away from how full of flavour all the other starters were.

Mains

Now on to the mains! As you can see from the pictures we went for a whole lot of meat and there were no regrets. Every single dish was succulent and flavoursome, they also did not hold back on the portion sizes. To be completely honest, at this point we were reaching that full feeling so some of the food was packed to take away.

In terms of the meat, we would definitely recommend the lamb chops and the lamb shank as they were on point!

Drinks

Small but mighty! It might not look like a lot but they do not scrimp on the alcohol. The martini in particular was really strong!

Final Thoughts

Zavi team you did well! This was such a lovely night out, great Turkish food coupled with great music and topped with excellent  customer service! Will we be visiting again??…. Definitely!
