What is this all about?
Quite a while back, we were contacted by the lovely Tom to take part in the Messy4Mind Challenge. This campaign aims to increase the awareness of issues relating to mental health. Mental health illnesses and the challenges that arise are not always visible but this campaign flips that by encouraging participants to get visibly messy to raise awareness. Since the start of the challenge in 2017 over 100 people across the UK and America have participated. Tom and his team have raised over £4000 for Mind (UK mental health charity).
Mental health encompasses not only the wide spectrum of health challenges that people face but also mental well being. We owe it to ourselves to make our mental health one of our priorities.
How we decided to get involved…
We’ve got to be honest, we were a little apprehensive in the beginning. Contemplating how we were going to carry out this challenge, we decided to enlist our 9 year old helper, Anesi (From Kids TELL – coming soon💃🏾). Anesi had the fun task of seeing how many cream pies she could slap in our face within 30 seconds… We also had a little surprise for her….Muhaahhhaaa…. We’re all in this together!
Check out the footage below to see how it went down.
A huge shout out to Tom for his encouraging words and patience. You can learn more about the Messy4Mind Challenge by heading over to Tom’s platforms:
